About Me
I have always been passionate about helping others, and that passion has driven me to dedicate my life to coaching people in fitness, self-defense, Control Tactics and Situational Strategies (CTSS), and Therapeutic Intervention Prevention Services (TIPS). My journey began with a simple desire to make a difference and has evolved into a lifelong mission to empower individuals and organizations to be safer, stronger, and more confident in themselves and their abilities.


Why I Chose to Coach
I was always active as a kid, though I didn’t fully recognize my passion for fitness and helping others until my late-20s. Fitness coaching became my first outlet to help people transform their bodies and minds, improving not just their physical health but their confidence and resilience. Witnessing the positive impact that training could have on someone’s life motivated me to expand my reach beyond fitness.
Self-defense was the natural next step. I wanted to give people more than just strength—I wanted to equip them with the skills to protect themselves and their loved ones. I believe that everyone deserves to feel safe and confident in any situation, and teaching practical, effective self-defense techniques has allowed me to share that sense of empowerment with countless individuals.
My Journey with CTSS and TIPS
Becoming a control tactics instructor in 2012 and a CTSS instructor in 2015 deepened my commitment to helping others. I thrive on assisting security professionals in overcoming challenges and achieving excellence in their field. With over 20 years of industry experience, I make complex concepts accessible and applicable to real-world situations. Training across Canada and the United States with military personnel, peace officers, correctional officers, and security professionals has enriched my teaching methods, ensuring that every lesson is practical, clear, and effective.
TIPS training further broadened my approach, allowing me to focus on creating safe, respectful, and therapeutic environments. Building strong relationships, practicing de-escalation, and understanding how to intervene compassionately are the foundations of effective conflict resolution. My goal is to help individuals and organizations proactively manage challenging situations while preserving dignity and safety for all involved.

What makes my coaching unique is my ability to take complicated topics and break them down into simple, actionable steps. Whether I’m working with a new fitness client, teaching self-defense to a community group, or training security teams in CTSS and TIPS, I tailor my approach to fit the needs and learning styles of those I coach.
I believe that being proactive is key. Communication and de-escalation should be the first tools in any professional’s toolkit—because preventing conflict is always better than responding to it. My training emphasizes practical application, ensuring that you leave with skills you can use immediately.
